Effect of turning parameters of AISI 316 stainless steel on temperature and cutting forces with finite element model

Stainless steel materials are widely used in many industries today. Most of these machined by turning. Modeling the temperature metal cut-ting process is a crucial step understanding and analyzing cutting process. However, when turning parameters not chosen carefully, integrity material deteriorates desired machining quality cannot be achieved. In this study, effects on force were investigated. Cutting speed, feed rate, depth cut as variable for analysis. Numerical analyzes performed ANSYS Workbench accordance with boundary conditions. Therefore, distribution evaluated. As control increase, both increase. result, it can considered that AISI 316 best choice stain-less alloy, since minimum rate conditions reduce formed tool.
